I was making things long before I understood that making things could be a profession. As a child, I was more interested in taking things apart, putting them back together, and imagining what else they could become. Not much has changed.

For the better part of two decades, I’ve worked in graphic design, art direction, branding, and digital experiences. My education was rooted in typography, composition, and the discipline of visual communication. Somewhere along the way, I discovered that writing code could be as satisfying as setting type, that music could tell stories images couldn’t, and that a good idea rarely cares which medium it inhabits.

I believe in craftsmanship, intellectual curiosity, and the peculiar beauty of things made with conviction. I admire those who question conventions, challenge their own assumptions, and refuse to confuse fashionable with good. I have little patience for thoughtless decoration, but an almost unreasonable affection for the smallest details.

I’m also the founder and creative director of OMENS Media, an independent creative practice where I turn some of these convictions into commercial work. But this website is something different.

GIANI.IO is my personal archive. A collection of observations, experiments, unfinished thoughts, finished works, photographs, essays, music, and occasional nonsense. Some things here are carefully considered. Others exist simply because I was curious enough to try.

My interests wander between the ancient and the futuristic, the beautiful and the unsettling, the meticulously structured and the gloriously absurd. I find as much inspiration in a centuries-old Persian manuscript as I do in a piece of experimental electronic music or a beautifully engineered machine.

I don’t know what this website will eventually become, and I rather like that.

For now, it’s a place to think out loud, make things, and leave a little evidence that I was here.
